What a corny title HAHAHA but who cares. I've fiiiiinaaaalllyyy turned 18 on the 11th of April.
I had such an amazing birthday celebration. The best one yet. I can't stop thanking my family and friends for making this happen like oh mY GOODNESS. I am so grateful to have them and I've never regret knowing them and I'm not just saying this because they had helped celebrate my birthday. I'm saying this because I'm genuinely moved by all the love and care they had shown me these past few years.

12:00AM +++ , 11APRIL.
I was surprised with candles and cards at the void deck of my house. The whole setup was so beautiful but I had to clear it up quickly as... people were looking at me funny and bugs like em annoying crickets were getting on the paper.
After that, a friend who shares the same birthday as mine asked if I would like to join him & his friends(there were girls too so I wasn't as worried) to celebrate together at a thai disco :-$ I was pretty skeptical and took like 2 hours thinking if I should go or not. Ridiculously long I know. I was also thinking of what I should wear and believe me. I actually wanted to go in a pair of shorts and just a basic shirt.(Not that there's anything wrong with going with lepak clothes). But nah, I didn't and went ahead with just a black shirt and short skirt.
Okay shit. I should just get straight to the point of how my experience was HAHAHA.
hMMMMMM WELLLLL.. I pretty much got home around 6 or 7am idek and kept vomiting :(
I felt hung over for hellaaaa long. Hella. My friends had actually planned on teaching me how to cycle in the afternoon(one of my wishes is to learn when I'm 18) but I felt too sick to go out so I just had cake at home and that was pretty much it. I don't regret anything though. I didn't regret going to the thai disco and having such an amazing time with them. Totally makes me wanna go again one day HAHAHAHA.

12APRIL.
I had plans to meet my ol' friend, Qi xuan to catch up. Congrats on getting your driving license! (totally not jealous at all:( ). We had Sushi for lunch (hella delicious btw @ Ichiban) and went to watch Get Hard which was pretty hilarious. This totally sounds like a date HAHAHA well maybe it was ;-) kidding brah kidding.
Afterwards, Qi xuan and I headed down to NSRCC to look for Zabir and friends for apparently a 'house party'. AND OH DEAR when I got there , the lights were off and there were candles and pictures of me .. ohhh I was freaking out. Dramatically. kinda.
I kinda knew there was going to be a surprise for me because hmm well the news accidentally got to me but I didn't expect a freaking chalet. a fREAKING CHALET. I literally felt like the luckiest girl to have such amazing friends. Just by them being there celebrating with me was an enough satisfactory. :'-) But they wouldn't even let me pay anything like not even a bottle of water. :( so yeah, with happiness comes guiltiness. Not exactly guilty. It felt more like I was a burden to my friends HAHAHA like I didn't deserve this much. Hence, I'm planning on returning as much looooove as I can now. wink wink.

 hahahahahahhahahahahaha those pics.

this snapchat thing can't be played so don't bother clicking it i guess. HAHA im sry

Thank you all for making my birthday such a memorable one. Thanks for the gifts and the well wishes. Thanks for spending time with me. Thanks for taking care of me. Thanks for .. oh my gosh this is so mawkishly sentimental I'm getting goosebumps HAHAHA but srsly tho. Thank you all :'-)
SOOOOOOoOooOooooo
MY PIERCINGS. How many do I have? Was it painful ? Why did I get them? Did they get an infection ? How did you hide it from your parents ? How much did it cost? And so on.

1. EAR PIERCINGS.
This is not a picture of my ear. Credit goes to the rightful owner.

How many ear piercings do you have?
I've 4 on my left and 4 on my right. Including a helix piercing and a tragus piercing.

Did the Helix and tragus piercing hurt?
I got my helix pierced when I was still in primary school.. so hmm i can't exactly remember whether it was painful or not but I didn't freaked out i was just like meh okay.

My tragus piercing did hurt. I was secondary 1 when I got it pierced, after getting my belly button pierced. I thought that since my belly button piercing didn't really hurt, I could withstand the pain of getting my tragus pierced. The piercer used a gun to pierce my tragus ( not recommended ) but I didn't mind cos the gun-process-thing is pretty fast as compared to piercing by a needle. AND DAMN. I thought that piercing my tragus was more painful than piercing my tongue. But it was over in like 5 seconds so.. whoop.

The other ear piercings doesn't hurt. Just a sting. For like 2 seconds.

How long does It take to heal?
I HONESTLY CAN'T REMEMBER!! It has been so many years.
But the recent one (5th hole from the lobe) was annoying. I couldn't sleep on my right because it was swelling and that was hella uncomfortable.
It wasn't an infection though, A new piercing just takes a while to recover.

Did your parents allow such piercings?
When I was young , still in primary school, my mom was hella strict. She used to scold me all the time >< And when I got my tongue pierced in primary 5 ( wtf ikr) and she found out a month later, she freaked :( But she gets over it pretty fast because she just can't stay angry at me for long <3 I love my mom :-)

Have your ear piercings got infected?
Hmmm yeah it did. It was my 5th hole from the lobe on my left ear and well..
I kept sleeping on it and ignoring the pain, I guess the piercing got sensitive and didn't heal properly like it was supposed to. I was in secondary school then and my teachers didn't approve of my piercings so I had to remove that newly pierced one and it started bleeding and all. It wasn't pretty. I had to close this piercing and It sort of gave me a scar on my left ear. Isn't pretty as well. Just take good care of your piercings and disinfect it daily with sea salt + water and It'll be alright.

Cost: Ear piercings cost ranges from $5- $8. I'm not sure of the costs of other ear piercings like the conch, industrial and more.

2. TONGUE PIERCING.

This is not a picture of my tongue. Credit goes to the rightful owner.

When did you get it pierced?
Primary 6

Where did you get it pierced?
X CRAFT Tampiness.

Was it painful?
Hmm I guess the clamping part was painful but It helped to numb the pain.
It wasn't as bad as I had expected. I would say that my belly piercing hurt more.
Scale of pain: 2/10

How long did it take to heal?
Two weeks or more. I remembered that the first week was intolerable because I couldn't speak clearly, eat or brush properly. It's a pretty annoying piercing to take care of.

Had it been infected before?
Nope.. I don't think it's easy to get a tongue piercing infection.

Cost: I FORGOT HAHAHA. Probably $40 ? I've no idea sorry.

3. BELLY PIERCING.
This is not a picture of my belly. Credit goes to the rightful owner.

When did you get it pierced?
Hmm when I was 13 ( That is crazy man. If I saw a 13 year old with a belly piercing I'd be pretty shock )

Where did you get it pierced?
X CRAFT Tampiness

Did your parents approved of it?
No of course not HAHAHA. My mom didn't find out till like a year later.

Why did you get it pierced?
I've no idea man. I'm pretty wild and crazy when I was young. Do I regret my decisions?
Yeah I honestly do because these things had made my mom upset and my teachers look down upon me.( probably cause of my attitude as well)
I think It's okay to get piercings but just.. at the right age pls like 16 and above. Quite ironic for me to be saying that. sorry :(

Was piercing it painful?
Actually , I was freaking out the day I was getting it pierced. I've watched youtube videos of people piercing their belly button and most of them were yelling and all.. Butt..
It wasn't as painful as I had expected. The piercer ( X CRAFT Tampiness) was so nice!!
She gave me a chocolate to calm me down before the piercing.
Maybe it's my pain tolerance or something but I don't exactly feel much pain when it comes to piercing.
Scale of pain: 3/10

Cost: Was it $40 or $60? Sorry I can't remember!
It's probably cheaper now since years have passed ?

4. SEPTUM PIERCING.
I only have like 3 photos with my septum piercing.. Can't find a nicer one so HAHA I'M SO SORRY that it's bit weird. This is the stud that they used when I got it pierced.

I used to hate septum piercings like really really much. Thought that it was disgusting and bull-like. No offense. I still sort of thinks that it's bull-like though HAHAH.
What changed my mind? Hmm I don't know.. I guess you could say I saw pictures of people with septum piercing and I'm like omfg that is so pretty I wanna get it. And I did HAHA
It was really a spontaneous thing. I actually wanted to get it when I turn 18 but..
one fine day.. I was on youtube watching these septum piercing videos and all.. and I just had this crazy thought. ' I'm getting that pierced tmr'. And YEAH HAHAHA I DID. That was about 3 weeks ago.

Where did you get it done?
Went to Far east plaza with my friends and pierced it at a shop called ' Rise Above Tattoo & Piercing'. The piercer was hella cool and nice. I had to sign this acknowledgement thing and she brought me to the back and informed me on what I should and shouldn't do after I get it done. You can also choose to 'hide' your piercing and I chose to hide it because.. I want to change the stud and not use this stud that makes me look like a bull (no offense)

Was it painful?
After watching videos of septum piercings on YouTube , I kinda knew what to expect.
BUT WHAT I DIDN'T EXPECT WAS .. The piercer did not used a clamp to clamp my nose first. But I didn't say anything because she looked so professional. and BAM. I ALMOST COULDN'T CONTROLLED LAUGHING. I kept smiling though because HAHAHA IT WASN'T PAINFUL IT WAS JUST LIKE A STING AND I thought I was gonna die LMAO that's when I know my pain tolerance is sorta high. I didn't like cry or anything my eyes just got watery because you can't help it you know? There's a difference ;-).
Pain: 3/10.

Did your parents allow?
Yeah. I'm turning 18 this year so....

How long did it take to heal?
Maybe It's how professionally the piercer pierced my nose that my septum piercing didn't swell much. Pretty much after a week or so, I felt no pain and apparently.. septum piercings takes like months to recover. I did clean it daily though with the solution that the piercer provided me with.

Do you regret piercing your septum?
NOOO!! And I've already bought these pretty studs online and am waiting for it to arrive so that I can change it :-)

Cost: $55 inclusive of stud.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've always wanted to talk about my piercings. And I'm glad I did.
There's no backstory to my piercings. No emotional stories of why I did it sorry HAHA.
I pretty much get piercings because I think it's pretty or something and I still want more piercings in the future!
However, If you're 13/14 or younger and you think piercings are cool.. yes u r right but NOO DON'T GET IT DONE WHEN YOU'RE STILL SO YOUNG. I know it's so ironic for me to be saying this but please !! you'll make your parents upset and it's not good for you because your body is still growing and you may regret it when you get older.

Okay that is all for today HAHA. I'll soon blog about my O level results and where I'm planning to go from there... yes sooo many people have been asking me about it so I will blog about it soon.

Xoxo, eling

Is the picture header misleading? hahahahaha it's my alternative blog with pictures and stuff & I really love it.

So anyway.. My friends have been asking why I had started to blog again.
Here are 3 reasons why.

1. Out of boredom.
Honestly, I guess you could say that I've nothing else better to do. Since I'm quite a lazy person.. and would rather stay home and use the internet the whole day.. Why not start a blog? I've watched so many shows that I've actually ran out of shows to watch. I've read so many books that I constantly need to shop for books if not I'd have nothing to read.
These two things. Reading and watching shows. I don't think I can live without doing them. I mean obviously I can live without those but I'm just saying that, without reading and watching shows, I'll probably die of boredom. Yeah you're probably thinking, omfg what a weird ass girl. MHM I agree. It's not because I'm lonely or that no one asks me out, I'm just fucking lazy lmao. To a certain extent at least. Soooo relating reading and watching shows to the topic of reasons why I've decided to blog again.. I just wanna find a new hobby. Something that would spark my interest even when I'm outside like "OH! I SHOULD TOTALLY BLOG ABOUT THIS" HAHA. Wouldn't that make my life a whole lot better? yesyesyesysey I think so too.

2. To express my thoughts and opinions.
I would like to express what I feel and think about certain subjects to a much larger audience. Usually, I'm just ranting about things like how darn annoying tangled earbuds can get to a group of friends. Not that I always rant about ridiculous topics like freaking tangled earbuds. HAHA Truth to be told, how annoying can tangled earbuds get ?
It's tangled right? Who cares. Just untangle it and listen to your darn music.
bUUUTT when you're in a hurry and it's fucking tangled and you're walking as quickly as possible so as to not miss the bus but your eyes aren't exactly on the road and is on the freaking tangled earbuds. oh gosh it does get frustrating.
Solution to that? Get a tangle-free earbuds.
bUUUTT TANGLE-FREE EARBUDS DOESN'T EXACTLY COME CHEAP. not that anything in this world does.
Amazing how sometimes, a preposterous topic like this could lead to such infuriation ?
Yes I am overreacting. Exaggeration actually attracts an audience. But you get my point. To express my thoughts and opinions on freaking tangled earbuds on a certain topic to a much larger audience. :-)

3. Inspiration.
OH GOSH. If you're my close friend, you'd know that I'm always constantly persuading you to read a book that I've read or watch a show/anime that I really like just so we could fan-girl together HAHAHA. Most of the times, my friends would agree and BAM! Of course, they'd fcking love it as much as I do. Hence, I wanna Inspire people to read & watch shows because oh goodness.. you've no idea how fun it is. In Singapore.. There isn't a lot of people who reads and when I do see someone reading... omg you've no idea how weird I'd get. I'd like try to peek and see what book it is that they're reading and go on to goodreads.com and look up the reviews of it and if it's good, I'd also purchase the same book and start reading it. HAHA. Maybe that's normal to some of you but a friend once told me I was fucking weird for doing that. :-( Anyway, I'd be putting up reviews of books/shows/anime/movies/whatever on my blog and hopefully, it'll persuade people to start reading or watching it. I personally want to and would love to share my joy - the things that makes me happy to whomever the fuck is reading :-)
BY THE WAY, IF YOU'RE THINKING.. ABOUT HOW WEIRD I AM TO BE TALKING ABOUT ANIME.. (anime isn't exactly cartoon pls)
Yo clearly have not watch an epic ass anime and you should and I will persuade the shit outta you and you'll realize how wrong your thoughts of anime is and shut up. I hope that doesn't sound too mean.hehe goodbye

“Books. They are lined up on shelves or stacked on a table. There they are wrapped up in there jackets, lines of neat print on nicely bound pages. They look like such orderly, static things. Then you, the reader come along. You open the book jacket, and it can be like opening the gates to an unknown city, or opening the lid of a treasure chest. You read the first word and you're off on a journey of exploration and discovery.” - David Almond.
